DÉMARCHE ARTISTIQUE

Après des études en arts (1993) et en design multimédia 2D et 3D (2003), j’ai commencé à explorer les logiciels Photoshop et Painter et à réaliser mes premières peintures numériques, tout en exerçant les métiers de conceptrice web et de webmestre au sein de l’équipe des technologies de l’information d’un important bureau d’avocats à Montréal.

Influencée par les préraphaélites et les symbolistes, j’ai tout d’abord consacré mes premières expériences à développer ma technique et à chercher un style propre à mon imagination. Passionnée de cinéma et de littérature fantastique, j’ai choisi alors l’Imaginaire pour traduire mes rêveries et mes évasions au pays des fées, des elfes, des dragons, etc.

Finalement, c’est dans mon univers immédiat, dans les contes et dans les légendes que je trouve l’inspiration et les sujets de mes tableaux numériques. Mais, ma spiritualité, mon amour pour la nature et le mythique ont certes aussi une influence sur mes créations.

ARTIST STATEMENT

After studies in arts (1993) and 2D & 3D multimedia design (2003), I began exploring Photoshop & Painter software and creating my first digital paintings, while practicing the professions of web designer and webmaster with the technology information team of a prominent lawyer’s cabinet in Montreal.

Influenced by the pre-Raphaelites and the symbolists, I dedicated my first experiments to the development of my technique and the search for a style that would reflect my imagination. With my passion for movies and fantastic literature, I chose Imagination to translate my reveries and escapes to the lands of fairies, elves, dragons, etc.

Finally, It is from my immediate universe, tales and legends that I draw my inspiration and the topics of my digital paintings. However, my spirituality, my love for nature and the mythical universe also have an influence on my creations.
